Consumption – 1100 kg. I try to buy as little stuff as possible. I used to work in a clothing store and still have more than enough of clothes from that time. Now it's been a year since I last bought a new piece of clothing. I hate shopping, but I've tried to learn to visit second hand shops every now and then so that when I really do need something, it won't feel as such a struggle.
Food – 700 kg. Besides being vegan, I try to eat seasonal and locally produced food.
Flying – 1100 kg. I typically have a two-way flight once a year, and 2019 will be no different. However, I could see myself giving up flying since traveling the world is not a necessity for me. I have offset the past two years' flights, and that is something I'm definitely going to keep doing in the future.
Daily transport – 400 kg. I'm afraid of driving, so I'm happy to use public transport most of the time.
Electricity and heating – 900 kg. We switched to eco-certified electricity last year. If I'd known how much it reduces carbon emissions I would have done it ages ago!
